A COVID-19 Message for our Suppliers and Customers
Communication is one of our core values at Agropur, and we are committed to keeping you fully informed as the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to communicate that the risk of transmission of Coronavirus through food is very low and that there is no evidence of any cases transmitted via food or food packaging. We are confident that the measures we have in place to protect our stability, our employees, our world class products, and our customers and their brands, are appropriate for this unprecedented event.
The Department of Homeland Security has identified the food industry as “critical infrastructure industry”; as such, we remain agile in identifying elements critical to our production so we can meet your needs and those of your customers, and ask for your collaboration and understanding while we deploy exceptional efforts to minimize any impact to operations.
Agropur’s crisis management team meets daily to discuss, evaluate and share the control measures in place to guarantee the availability and safety of our quality products. These measures are enforced among our employees, suppliers and visitors. We have implemented multiple initiatives to ensure our success through this event, such as enhanced employee communication, education and hygiene, travel restrictions, flexible working environments, illness reporting, increased facility sanitation, and limitation of visitors and gatherings.
Our business continuity plan in the event of a pandemic calls among other actions for close monitoring of the developing situation and decisions made by public authorities. Information will be shared with stakeholders on a regular basis. For any questions, please contact your sales rep or customer service (800-359-2345).
Thank you and stay well.
