Specification management

Agropur Ingredients utilizes management software to ensure product specification requirements are tied to the finished product testing. Flavor management Technology is based on the trained sensory evaluation of our Food Technologists and our expertise in areas of dairy flavor, protein and nutritional component masking, and processing impact on flavor.

Commercialization support

Within our Innovation team of food technologists we have expertise in proteins, nutrition, instant and RTD beverages, refrigerated and frozen desserts, cheeses, soups, sauces, snacks, and bakery. When we take on a project we assign a team of sales & innovation that will follow the project through production. As needed, this can involve working with the customer through scale-up pilot trials to plant trials. When a customer seeks assistance with selection of a pilot or manufacturing plant, we will provide recommendations.

Turn-around time on prototypes and samples

Samples from existing inventory can be sent out within a day of the request. Where prototypes must be created, delivery depends on 3 variables – contact us for more info

Rapid product development

With our accumulated years of product development experience, we can accelerate product development using computer modeling and miniature pilot plant processing to get prototypes out rapidly.

Tasting panels

We can do in-house tasting panels using expert opinion, descriptive analysis, or discrimination. We have additional resources in Montreal, Canada or Madison, WI for more complex panels.

Ability to support small production runs

We have a small ribbon blender with a minimum volume of 200 lbs used specifically for small scale trials. We recognize the first step starts small and support this as part of our product development process. For larger trials, we can run 3000 lbs in the plant.

Nutrition Innovation Group

The Nutrition Innovation group specializes in health, wellness & sports nutrition instant beverage innovation. Three food technologist and one innovation assistant have access to thousands of ingredients to deliver rapid customer driven formulations to suit a wide range of products. Some of these products include: dairy protein, organic plant protein, botanical & energy blends, & amino acid-based products.
